PROGRAM
day 1 // wednesday 24 august 2009 prehistorical references for an end of a medium
day 2 // thursday 25 august 2009 scenarios for a different beginning
day 3 // friday 26 august 2009 new materials in another setting
DAY 1 = A1
reading through the pamphlet, abstract, working plan, notes and schedules and comments, how can we understand this and how do we make something real out of it? as this writing is intended to generate ideas into matter (and not the other way around), co dělat?
DAY 1 = A2
unless there are other ideas, let's make a small piece, a kind of expressive exercise, bringing out some of the features discussed above
[EXAMPLE]
a- one object {+/- human} makes a sound/movement
b- a group of objects {+/- human} imitate/counter/extend/collapse this sound/movement
c- in all the following steps till time is stopped, the group of objects {+/- human} continue to "comment" in a similar way, the sound/movement from an object {+/- human} in its neighbourhood
d- (optional) when the activity stops by itself, reinitiate an object {+/- human} making a sound/movement
[NOTE]
record carefully A1 and A2, since it is necessary material for the coming days make notes, describe or discuss what is happening while it is happening
DAY 2 = B1
let's take up the discussion from the day before and react to the comments, additions, changes... what is concept, planning, content etc.. today, thinking about something else than what existed before?
DAY 2 = B1
think about the previous day's piece, take it up again, and perform a similar piece with a second order layer: maybe a simple comment on the previous day's material, expressed with other media than the original...
[NOTE]
record carefully B1 and B2, since it is necessary material for the last day make notes, describe or discuss what is happening while it is happening
DAY 3 = C1
evaluation, extension, negation, other comments, changes, hypotheses, advizes regarding the past 3 days in the light of the first workshop "the last theatre show ever" in muenchen the following month, what is the role of perception/conception/description, and are we on the right track?
DAY 3 = C2
try out another transformation/permutation as 3rd order, taking either the original activity from A2, or the 2nd order one from B2, or even make a comment on A1, B1 or C1, and does it make any sense? what?
[NOTE]
record carefully C1 and C2, and let's bring it all online, for further elaboration afterwards we will explain the online drupal environment, and give logins, so participants can continue afterwards
[ENVOI]
Maybe the first actor is an environment: an obsolete gigantic machine from a past industrial era. An obsolete site in itself. The idea of an ecology frozen in time, becoming its own myth, a space that was left by time long ago. A carcass hoping for its regeneration. A waiting. In a colourfull field with cold darkness underneath.
